The Amazonas Free State was a militant group in Venezuela. They came to the attention of Ghost Recon when they took US hostages.
A team led by Nomad stormed their main base to rescue the hostages, decimating the group.
At the time the Free State was aided by Watchgate and trying to connect with the Santa Blanca Drug Cartel for support. Where SB sent El Pulpo to see if the Free State were good partners.
