Priego is a member of the People's Democratic Front and the party's presidential candidate in Cuba's democratic elections in 2010. He was also affiliated with Colombia's FRC, which smuggled cocaine. His supporters tried to take the election by force, but they were opposed by pro-democratic forces and the US' Ghost Recon special forces team. At one point his aid Esteban Ordonez defected. After Priego failed to secure the election, he fled to an old fortress, but was captured by the Ghosts and escorted out of the fortress to a waiting Blackhawk.
