Operation Brave Down is a mission conducted by Ghost Recon in 2010. It is the third operation during the Colombia conflict against the MFLC.

Briefing[]

That was good work back at the train station, gentlemen. We're shut down a core component of their cocaine distribution network.

As promised, intelligence has found what we believe to be the location of the MFLC’s main cocaine production plant. Unfortunately, we received a warning from columbian authorities to stop blowing up the country's infrastructure. In other words, we can't just drop a bomb on this place.

Even if we could, though, the MFLC have obviously thought of that and have insurance in place. UAV recon photos show civilians in the immediate vicinity. We're guessing they're hostages.

This cocaine plant is the largest we've ever seen, and it's built right into the side of a mountain. We'd heed a bunker-buster to cut through that much rock, and doing it that way would certainly involve unacceptable civilian casualties. That means you get to do it the old fashioned way.

You have three main mission objectives this time: cripple the production facilities by locating and destroying their main generators. A demo charge should do the trick. While you're on site, take out the train they use to transport the cocaine – our satellite scans show that it's just been loaded and is sitting at the depot.

Finally, rescue the civilian hostages. If you free a hostage before completing the rest of your objectives, make sure you keep them alive. Any casualties among the hostages are unacceptable.

Challenges[]

  • Challenge 07 – Lone Wolf – Complete the mission with only one soldier. You may use the weapon of your choice.
  • Challenge 08 – Time Course – Complete the mission with your full team and any weapon in under 4 minutes 00 seconds.
  • Challenge 09 – Survival – Complete the mission using a special M9 that kills in one shot. Be carefull – enemies have had their rifles upgraded for the occasion.
