FAV is a light utility vehicle used by the People's Liberation Army Airborne Corps of China. This Chinese fast attack vehicle was designed in the late 90's. This vehicle was first announced in 2001. Despite that little information is available on this vehicle. Its designation is unknown. This fast attack vehicle is in service with airborne units of Chinese army where it replaced the BJ2020 and possibly some other vehicles. This fast attack vehicle is also being proposed by NORINCO for export customers.

A baseline version provides seating for driver and three passengers. However sometimes this vehicle is seen carrying 6 or even 7 troops. Vehicle has a roll-over protection cage.

This vehicle is essentially a buggy, that combines high speed and good cross-country mobility. It is used for scouting and hit-and-run style raids.

A wide range of weapons can be fitted. Front passengers can use 7.62-mm machine or 40-mm automatic grenade launcher on the swivel mount. A circular mount on top of the vehicle can be traversed through 360 degrees. It houses 7.62-mm or 12.7-mm machine gun, or 40-mm automatic grenade launcher, or 23-mm cannon, or anti-tank missile launcher.
