War Within the Cartel is the short life action film prequel to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands focusing on Ricky Sandoval, a DEA undercover agent.
Plot[]
As several Santa Blanca Cartel heads during night time outside of Nidia Flores' mansion at Barvechos, Bolivia having a meeting, they're attacked by Kataris 26 rebels. After repelling the attack and dealt with the surviving rebels, El Muro reviews security footage and it shows that the cartel's head of finance, Ricky Sandoval, is actually an undercover DEA agent.
Sandoval and his pregnant wife Monica flee from the cartel's quick reaction force try to reach the extraction point by helicopter, but Sandoval sacrificed himself so Monica with their unborn daughter could escape on a helicopter, and he's captured and brought before the cartel's El Sueño.
After Sandoval fakes the United States Embassy bombing at La Paz on 27th of July to put the blame on the cartel, CIA agent Karen Bowman asks for the Ghosts' Kingslayer Team to be brought in. As Sandoval's torture by La Yuri and El Polito near his end before Sueño personally executes him, he askes the cartel heads "If they believe in Ghosts".
