The Kazakhstan conflict was a conflict that began in 2012, provoked by the staging of a coup in Kazakhstan by Asad Rahil which led to the deployment of the Ghosts. Working with their contact Grigoriy Kozlov, they systematically broke the foundations of Rahil's power and then killed him in battle. Kozlov was killed when he disobeyed Captain Scott Mitchell's orders, but the Ghosts triumphed soon after.
