Maria Summers is a character in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Maria is a part of the Homesteaders faction. As she was born on Auroa with the Homesteaders, they are the only group she has any deep connection to.
Biography[]
Maria grew up on Auroa, raised by the early Homesteaders. Auroa is her home, and she knows the in and outs of the island intimately. As a child, she often set out on her own and explored the jungles and abandoned facilities.
Professional Career[]
When she came of age, Maria left Auroa for the only time in her life. She traveled to Wellington, New Zealand, and stayed for a few months. She wanted to know for sure if she was meant for life on Auroa. No one on the island heard from her while she was gone, and many assumed she'd never come back. But one day, she arrived back at her parents' Homestead, as if nothing had changed. She never spoke a word of her experiences off-Island. Though a capable hunter and farmer, and a leader in her community, she's no soldier. She fears that the simmering conflict with Sentinel Corp. will necessitate a guerrilla war, but deeply hopes she's wrong. She wants to live in peace in the only home she's known her whole life.
Reputation[]
Maria is well respected in the community. Long before she was with Mads, she was the only one brave enough to tell him when he was acting like a fool. She knows the island and the seasons better than nearly anyone on Auroa.
Relationship[]
Maria is romantically involved with Mads, and loves him deeply. But she's never afraid to call him out when he's being a stubborn ass, a trait he respects in his partner. The two were never officially married, though she took his name. This was something she never thought she'd do for anyone, but for her, in this moment, it felt right. She's also very close with her little brother Kyle, and his wife Layla. She's unsure about this other guy, Emmett, moving into their house, but has learned to withhold judgment.
