Spirit Of The Hive is a main mission of Episode 2 in Ghost Recon Breakpoint DLC Deep State.
Overview[]
“ Wym Van Dyke is an entomologist specializing in bee behavior. Uncover his potential involvement with CLAW. ”
1. Follow the Wym Van Dyke lead on the CLAW list. You are taken to his house located south of Bird Hill in the western part of Liberty, surrounded by wast poppy fields. Sentinel have already found Van Dyke's home and have made a mess of things inside. Eliminate all hostiles.
2. Upstairs in Van Dyke's bedroom, you will find Van Dyke's wife Rhonda shot and killed by Sentinel. Examine her body and you will find her ID card. On a night table by the couple's bed, you will find a note from Wym to her wife about using the ID card to track Wym's location with the use of the electronic Beehive 2.0 platforms placed across the flower fields.
3. Interface with the Beehive placed in Van Dykes' house's courtyard and follow the signal. Beehives with bees flying around them are relays of the signal.
4. The signal takes to a Skell Technology location by a river down the flower hills. You will find Wym Van Dyke surrounded by Sentinel troops interrogating him. Eliminate the hostiles and talk to Van Dyke.
5. Wym is shocked about her wife dying and Nomad asks for his help in taking down CLAW. Wym says that it is what Rhonda would want and tells him that all of his work on the project is stored in a server at the Liberty Solar Power Plant and wiping all of the data would hinder Sentinel's progress. Follow Wym's directions and you are taken to the nearby solar power plant.
6. Clear the hostile forces protecting the plant and follow Van Dyke to his workstation to begin wiping the data stored in the power plant's servers, however an alarm will sound. Waves of hostiles will storm the player's location, including a Path Keeper, an Overseer and an Aamon drone.
7. Once Van Dyke is done wiping the information off the servers, talk to him. Wym explains that his world is shattered, but he must make sure that his work doesn't fall into the wrong hands and to honor his wife. Wym explains that he helped develop the algorithm that the drones use to communicate with each other autonomously. Wym hands a USB stick to Nomad and explains that the only way to disrupt the algorithm is by uploading a virus, which is able to overload the Legion swarm's systems, but the only way to do that is to access a relay sending the signal. Nomad tells that Sentinel will come looking for Wym and he should join the Outcasts to avenge Rhonda.
8. Nomad contacts Sam Fisher and tells him that he thinks he has found a way to take down CLAW if it comes after the two. Sam asks Nomad to tell more about it when they rendezvous. The mission ends.
