Colonel Tesfaye Wolde was an Ethiopian warlord who attacked Eritrea in May 2009, and came to the attention of the US military in January of that year. He bought weapons from Russian ultranationalists, which enabled them to go war. His friend Ashenafi Abate was another warlord in the army. Wolde was soon killed by Ghost Recon while riding out with his remaining armor in an effort to rally the troops personally.
